The only thing I did paint today was my ceramic bowls and vases in the kiln right now. I also stained the deck. I didn't do any plein air painting (shame on me). Instead, I gathered kelp off the beach (as promised to another potter in Sacramento to use in for a firing). I also walked to another beach not far from my house. It was too beautiful to be in a studio today.
I will post pictures of the kiln firing tomorrow afternoon. I can't wait to see what the new Pompeian ash glaze does to my speckled stoneware. I posted samples of the glaze above.
I also used Renaissance glazes on by bowls and vases. It is like Christmas!
