Using What You Know

I am taking a class where you take your understanding of shapes, shadows and color mixing and apply this to  painting portraits.  Therefore, it is not necessarily by what you see but by what you know.  So you decide which is in shadow and in light.

Help Patris' Studio Remain Open

I paint at Patris' Studio and Gallery when I am in Sacramento. She needs assistance to  keep her gallery location. Her building is being sold and she would like to put a down payment on it.  Help her if you can by giving to her Go Fund Me link below.

Here is also the Sacramento Bee story about her plight.

Yup, I Love Yupo!

I didn't want to put my brush down. I  just love the effects when working with this paper. It has a plastic coating and it makes it easy to remove color.

I am wild about this paper because it is fun to work with and makes watercolor easier to apply.

Yippee for Yupo

I took an incredible watercolor class with Audi Stanton a few weeks ago and fell in love with Yupo.
You can lift the watercolor off of the paper and create beautiful effects. I say "Yippee for Yupo".

Here are my Uppity Beach Buttons fresh out of the kiln. They are currently for sale at Wright's Custom  Framing in Brookings, Oregon and a perfect addition to your fiber art project.

Where's The Tuna?

This a cat watercolor painting on mixed media paper.  I liked how the paper held the paint and that I had more control.
